Top 10 Tips on How To Become an Apex Champion Easily
1. Stop and Heal
This won't be news to experienced battle royale players, but it will often separate knowledgeable players from those who are new to the genre.
You need to keep healing in mind when you're in a fight. It's almost always an advantage to back out, get behind cover, and pop a shield or some healing before engaging again.
This is a small change you can make to your gameplay to win more fights. If you take a moment to heal while the other player continues to fire at you, you're going to win that engagement nine times out of ten.
2. Forget Tier Lists: Play What You Like
There have been several tier lists released for Apex Legend heroes since the game first launched. Many of them have names like Wraith, Bangalore, and Lifeline at the top of them, with Pathfinder near the bottom.
In a game like Overwatch, these tier lists can be helpful. They give you a rough idea of which characters will be helpful and which will get a groan from your teammates.
Apex Legends isn't like that, though. Sure, it's always nice to have a Lifeline on your team for the free healing ability, but no one is going to get mad at a Pathfinder main.
The legends in this game a relatively balanced, and each has their situational advantages. It's essential that you have control and understanding of your character in Apex Legends. After all, you only get one shot.
If you're used to being able to pop your Void ability with Wraith to escape damage, don't use Lifeline until you feel as though you have full command of the base game. Play what's comfortable to start and branch out later.
3. Don't Main a Legend
Of course, it always helps to have a backup legend. Each team can only have one, so you don't want to be a one-trick pony. You should have two or three legends that you're comfortable with in case you don't have the first pick.
4. Dropping With Your Team
Apex Legends has an interesting approach to dropping, and it's mainly positive. It ensures that players don't go off on their own when they aren't paying attention to their random teammates.
That said, you shouldn't stick to your teammate's side throughout the whole drop. You should still land near where they do, but it shouldn't be a fight for loot between you and your teammates.
Go off on your own towards the end of the jump and land in a nearby building rather than in the exact same location as your two teammates.

5. Inventory Management
Inventory management is a key part of any BR game. Apex Legends makes it easy by telling you which attachments you need and what kind of ammo your guns take, but that's not the whole equation.
Our first tip in this section is that you only need so much ammo for certain guns. Do you really need 160 shotgun shots? No. You'll do fine with a stack of 80. The same goes for sniper rifles.
Picking up some energy ammo is usually a good idea if you like energy weapons and have space in your backpack. This ammo type is the rarest in the game, so it helps to have some on standby.
You should also be prioritizing shields and medkits over syringes. I see too many players with clogged inventories full of syringes. You need to have some healing items on you, but you should drop your extra syringes when you need more space.
You should also only be carrying extra attachments for guns you want to pick up. A purple shotgun bolt is worth carrying until you find a shotgun, but you should probably leave the 6x attachment on the floor where you found it.
6. High Man Wins
Prioritize high ground whenever possible. High ground is king in battle royale games since it provides you with some natural cover.
Whenever you want to push a fight between two opposing teams, always try to flank the team that has the high ground. This will give you the best chance of overtaking them and winning the fight.
7. Know Your Teammates' Needs
Playing without a mic isn't ideal, but it's far more practical in Apex Legends than it is in other games. Pay attention to what your teammates have and what they need.
If you know your teammate needs an armor upgrade, ping one for them. If you know they're using a sniper, ping that purple sniper stock.
When in doubt, ping something just to be safe. Well-kitted teammates give you the best chance of winning.
8. More Zoom Does Not Make a Better Scope
Most fights in Apex Legends take place at mid-range. Some players seem to think that scopes that offer more zoom are better. This is not the case.
I'd rather take a red dot sight on my sniper over a x6 scope any day. It's much more common to wish you didn't have as much zoom than it is to wish you had more.
The G7 Scout is particularly prone to duping new players. This is a sniper, yes, but it's best at mid-range combat. The most zoom you'll probably ever want on this gun is a x4, so opt for the x2-x4 variable attachment.
9. Use Your Abilities
This is a simple tip, but one that so many new players just don't follow. USE YOUR ABILITIES. I can't count how many times I've died and said "I should have used X ability."
10. Short Range - Medium/Long Range
The early meta in Apex Legends is to have a short range weapon and a longer ranged weapon. The combination you choose is up to you, but there are some standard selections that have seen some success.
Shotguns are nearly a must-have in this game right now, but a Devotion with a supercharger can shred high-level armor in the late game.
You should have a sniper or assault rifle with a shotgun or LMG as a secondary. A sniper/AR combo will also work until you find an upgrade. The point is, you should always have a gun for every engagement.
